In a recent communication issued by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), they have granted a six-month extension to the ISO 50001:2018 transition deadline. This is in line with other transition and migration dates, which have been extended, for example, ISO 45001:2018.
The deadline has been extended due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. All ISO 50001:2011 certifications shall expire or be withdrawn at the end of the transition period which is now 21st February 2022 ( previously 21st August 2021)
