Vegan Porridge Bread
Porridge bread made without dairy or eggs. This moist, and super easy to make bread is nutritious and wholesome.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan/ gas mark 4.
  2. Place the soya yogurt, chia seeds, oat milk and bicarbonate of soda in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix together until well combined
  4. Scrape the batter into the loaf tin
  5. Place in the oven and bake for 60 minutes.
  6. Leave the bread to cool in the tin for about fifteen minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. You may need to use a knife to assist remove the loaf from the tin.
  7. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
  8. Enjoy!

This bread is so easy to make. Even if you are not vegan or vegetarian, this bread is great because:

  • It’s healthy
  • It’s non-diary
  • It’s eggless
  • It’s low in fat

For this Sustainable Recipe, I used the Alpro Simply Plain Yogurt. I find that this soya yogurt is the best to use as the flavour doesn’t overpower the bread.
